Sharon's interest in holistic medicine came from an early experience in her own healing through hemopathy. A later auto accident in which two needles strategically placed by her neighbor (who happened to be an Acupuncturist), restored her miraculously to health. She has been a believer ever since, and she uses acupuncture and Chinese medicine herself on a regular basis. Her former career in international marketing often took her to Asia, where she experienced the rich culture and spiritual aspects of that world.
Sharon uses an integrated, truly holistic approach to treatment, with functional medicine and in-office diagnostic testing and assessments at the heart of her practice strategy. She has dedicated her practice to extensive nutrition and lifestyle education with an emphasis on detoxification, emotional release, hormone imbalances, and support of the immune system. Her personal view is that enviroment as well as lifestyle, play an integral role in health, and that all illness is rooted in a psycho-spiritual cause.
She is passionate about the results her patients obtain--alwasy happy when a patient is on a journey toward healing. Sharon has a gentle yet intentional touch, using a Japanese-style of needling. Her empathy and listening skills set her apart. Sharon has a special gift for healing--inspiring patients to participate in the healing process, and developing an immediate trust. Her intention is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care, while empowering her patients throughout the healing process.
